Job Summary:
ARIN seeks to recruit an Intern for Communication to support the organization’s communication strategies, enhance its visibility, and engage stakeholders effectively. The intern will contribute to ARIN’s mission by supporting content creation, media engagement, digital communication, and stakeholder outreach to amplify the impact of the organization’s work.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in creating, editing, and publishing content for ARIN’s website, social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Develop promotional materials such as brochures, banners, and flyers for events and campaigns.
- Coordinate social media activities to ensure consistent and engaging communication with stakeholders.
- Support media relations, including drafting press releases and building media contact lists.
- Assist in organizing and documenting ARIN events, such as webinars, workshops, and conferences.
- Design and execute creative communication campaigns to raise awareness of ARIN’s projects and initiatives.
- Monitor media and digital analytics to assess the reach and impact of communication efforts.
- Contribute to the development of reports, policy briefs, and case studies for external and internal use.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) and content management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a flair for storytelling and audience engagement.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, analytics tools, and emerging digital trends.
- Knowledge of climate change, development, or related fields is an added advantage.
- Ability to multitask, work collaboratively, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
