
Salome Okoth is an Administrative Assistant at ARIN. She is also the assistant Admin for the Climate Resilient Economies Programme (CRE) at The African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS). Salome is passionate about sustainable development with science, technology and innovation as enablers. Her work experience is geared towards public advocacy through policy analysis, research and stakeholder involvement with the aim of securing a conducive social, ecological and political environment in Africa.
She is a seasoned professional, who is passionate about organizational resource planning and management at a strategic level. Her key responsibilities entail Coordinating project activities and operations to secure excellence and efficiency. She also takes part in public policy advocacy geared towards achieving sustainable economic development and governance with the spirit of leaving no one behind. Salome believes that science, technology and innovations have a greater role to play in attaining a robust sustainable African economy.
Prior to joining ACTS, Salome worked as an inter- Public-Private Dialogue at Kenya Private Sector Alliance. Her 4 years of experience spans various administrative and operational roles. Salome holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration from Moi University and is currently pursuing her Masters in Environmental Policy at the University of Nairobi.
Salome is hardworking, persistent, flexible and a great team leader who is delighted to work at such a dynamic, transformative and innovative organisation like the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS). She is a lover of life and always wears a smile on her face.
