Dr. Simon Manda is a fellow at  ARIN. He is also a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Zambia, Department of Development Studies. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from the University of Zambia, a Master of Arts degree in Global Development, and a PhD in Environment and Development from University of Leeds, United Kingdom. His research interest includes the social science of climate change, disasters, and adaptation planning. It includes natural resource management, nutrition, agri-food systems, and livelihood dynamics. His current research touches on State Responses to COVID-19 in Zambia and Implications for Smallholder Production and Marketing Dynamics. A double Commonwealth Scholar, his PhD examined ‘Large-scale Agricultural Investments and Livelihood Dynamics on the Zambian ‘Sugar belt.’
