Caroline Mwihaki Gathu



Caroline is a Climate Change and Development specialist with 13 years of practical working knowledge and experience in the sector. She has successfully contributed to programme development, implementation and administrative support for large scale donor funded projects, working with multi-stakeholders including county governments, private sector actors and communities. She is currently working with Practical Action as a Climate and Resilience Specialist. Her main role is to provide thought leadership in the development and delivery of the Climate and Resilience strategy.

She hold a Master’s Degree in International Relations/Development from United States International University; Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies from Management University of Africa and diploma in Project Management from Kenya Institute of Management.

She is passionate about making a contribution to the development of climate adaptation and resilience solutions and implementing actions to respond to the impacts of climate change. She is working towards engaging with the different levels national and international stakeholders to advocate for fulfilment of climate change actions and commitments communicated through the NDC’s. She is glad that the NDC Financing Fellowship has contributed to building my knowledge and skills that are useful in this respect. I am grateful for this opportunity.
