Chrispers Kirimi Kisa



Chrispers Kirimi Kisa is an accomplished Conservation Specialist and Project Management Professional with a proven track record of driving impactful initiatives in the field of environmental conservation and sustainable development. With extensive experience in managing projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholders, Chrispers has successfully implemented conservation programs, fostered partnerships, and delivered tangible results in various regions of Kenya.

Currently serving as a Project & Admin Assistant at Acacia EPZ Limited since January 2022, Chrispers has been instrumental in overseeing the implementation of AFR100/Terramatch restoration funding in multiple counties, including Turkana, Marsabit, Isiolo, Samburu, Kitui, West Pokot, Tana River, and Baringo. Through strategic collaboration with organizations such as World Vision International, Better Globe Forestry, and Kenya Forest Service, Chrispers has facilitated critical partnerships that have enhanced the impact of conservation efforts.

A key accomplishment in Chrispers’ career includes providing valuable support for the implementation of the AgriFI project, where he streamlined the Gum Arabic value chain by implementing interventions such as quality assurance, training of trainers, technical support, and database development. Additionally, Chrispers developed a live visualization system to enhance operational efficiency, integrating Google Sheets and ArcGIS Online.

Furthermore, Chrispers’ expertise extends to engaging with government bodies and organizations at the highest level. He has presented a comprehensive presentation on synergies between Acacia EPZ and the Government of Kenya to the Ministry of Environment and facilitated the preparation of a crucial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between World Vision International (Imara Project) and Acacia EPZ.

Previously, Chrispers served as a Trainer of Trainees for the USAID-Empowered-Youth Program from May 2022 to February 2023. During this time, he successfully mobilized and trained numerous youth groups on agribusiness models, resulting in a high success rate for potential funding opportunities. Furthermore, he played a vital role in connecting young individuals to technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions, providing them with essential skills and mentorship.
Chrispers’ expertise in environmental impact assessment is highlighted by his role as an ESIA Consultant at Norken International Limited in February 2021. In collaboration with WSP Global Inc., he conducted the principal ESIA baseline survey for the proposed Nairobi – Nakuru – Mau Summit Road, demonstrating his ability to assess and address environmental and social concerns associated with major infrastructure projects.

Chrispers’ academic pursuits as a Conservation Researcher at The Norwegian University of Life Sciences and JKUAT have significantly contributed to the understanding of conservancy management. Through securing funding and conducting research on the impacts of conservancies within the Mara Triangle Ecosystem, he authored academic papers that shed light on the relationship between conservation, poverty alleviation, and local livelihoods. Chrispers’ proficiency in utilizing GIS and remote sensing technology has also enabled him to assess land use changes and provide valuable insights into long-term conservation strategies.

Chrispers actively participates in workshops and seminars to stay at the forefront of the latest developments in conservation and sustainable practices. He holds a membership as a NEMA Associate Expert, further showcasing his commitment to environmental stewardship and compliance with regulations.
