Dr. Fama Gueye



Dr. Fama Gueye, Lecturer/researcher in Sustainable Development at the Institute of Public Policy (IPP) at the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD), Senegal, and the Deputy Director of WASCAL-CCE/UCAD.

Dr. Fama Gueye holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Climate Change from the University of Dakar and a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Policy from the University of Ouaga 2 (Burkina Faso). Her research interests include sustainable development, environmental and natural resource economics, agriculture, econometrics, and others. She is a lecturer in economics and sustainable development at the Institute of Public Policy (IPP) of the University of Dakar (UCAD), Senegal.

She is also the deputy director of the WASCAL Climate Change Economics program at UCAD. She recently completed a research residency at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC/Bonn) as part of the Sustainable Development Mechanism (SDM)/Regulatory Development Unit program and at the University of Virginia, USA.
